What is Futsal?

Futsal is a variant of football that is played on a smaller pitch and mainly indoors. Futsal was developed in the 1930โ€™s in Brazil, where it is now played more than football albeit not attracting as many spectators as it's parent sport. The surface, ball and rules create an emphasis on improvisation, creativity and technique as well as ball control and passing in tight spaces.
